This artwork is a sentimental, strong and heavy portrait of a young man conflicted by his own demons, which are the result of his mental health issues, more specially a psychotic disorder. The symbolism behind the work, from the dripping paint to the story-telling elements within, allows the viewer to unveil the meaning behind the portrait and connect with the painting, to even wonder if the artist might have had a link to the sitter. This artwork was done as part of the Young Artist in Residence Studio project at Art Space Portsmouth in the United Kingdom (2018).
